Oshibana is a Japanese art of using preserved flowers and grasses in art and craft. I explore this method and use my own methods of preserving florals. By combining preserved flowers and grasses with such materials like - shells, semi-precious crystals, rocks, pearls and other items that I find in Nature I would like to create a sense of harmony and show incredible beauty that we see in Nature. I also like to use recycled paper and shipping boxes with which I create cardboard like and very sturdy backgrounds for my works.
I called my artworks in this category- “Eco Fusion Florals”. I feel it is where artistry and sustainability intertwine for me. My unique floral creations are inspired by the beauty of nature and crafted with a deep commitment to eco-friendly practices. Each piece is meticulously designed, combining traditional floral techniques such as Japanese floral art -Oshibana with innovative techniques that I have developed and various recycled materials, such as recycled paper, shipping boxes, egg cartons and other elements. My goal is to not only evoke a sense of wonder and delight but also raise awareness about the importance of preserving our environment. Join me on this journey of sustainable beauty, where every petal tells a story.
